St. George's Day 2007

As the district event didn't happen the group leaders thought it was important to hold a celebration this year, as it was the centenary of scouting. To this end the group organised at very short notice its own celebration and invited the district. Thanks again Kevin for doing such a great job and also to Rev Nick Bundock for letting us use St James's church.

St Cath's and Sacred Heart's joined our group for the event.

The first part of the afternoon which started at 3pm was a short service in St Jame's church where, flags were paraded, hymns sung and promises renewed.

After the service we ran a wide game in the adjacent Fletcher Moss Park. Each section having different tasks, sections were divided up into teams of 4 or 5.
As you will see the game had a medievel knight theme.
